EEA Photo Competition 2021

Firstly, a big thank you to all of our members that took the time to submit an entry into this years photo competition. We received over 40 amazing images and the voting results were quite close between those that came out on top but there was a clear favourite. 

Secondly, we also want to thank the members that took the time to review the images and submit their votes. Without this level of participation we would not have a successful result to share with you.

Finally, we are planning to hold this competition again in 2022 so next time you are out and about, get snapping as you may just capture the next winning image.

The Results

Winner - The winning image was submitted by Richard Fletcher from Aurora Energy. The image description is 'Aurora Energy installed a submarine cable and now removing Overhead structure to improve the Harbour view'. Richards winning image will be used on the EEA 2021/2022 Annual Report cover and Richard will also receive a complimentary delegate registration for the EEA2022 Conference in Wellington.

Second - The image that came in second in the voting results was submitted by Agnes Canita of Wellington Electricity (second year in a row). The image description is 'Pauatahanui 33kV Line'. 

Third - The third image that received the most member votes also goes to Agnes Canita from Wellington Electricity for 'Line Rebuild in Makara Road'.  Well done Agnes, you have a very good eye and plenty of beautiful Wellington locations to capture these images.
